We’re excited to offer more on-campus experiences for the Winter 2022 semester, including many fully on-campus programs, activities, and services.

Full-time winter-semester programs will be offered in the following formats:

Choice: Students choose between hybrid or online delivery.
Hybrid: Some courses will be delivered online and all labs and/or placements are delivered in-person.
On campus: All courses are delivered on campus.
Online: All courses are delivered online.

To find out if your program will be delivered online, on-campus, hybrid or as a choice for the Winter 2022 Semester, please check the Program Delivery List here: https://www.georgebrown.ca/programs/winter-2022-delivery for details on the delivery format for your program.

Please note that programs and services are subject to change based on the latest guidance from public health officials.

During the program registration process in November, you will be able to view the delivery format for the individual courses within your program.

In preparation for online learning, please note:

If your program is listed as on-campus or hybrid please note that to access campus, all students coming onto college premises are required to be fully vaccinated as of November 1, 2021.

George Brown College is using a secure platform called Verified to verify vaccination status and medical exemptions. This process is called COVID-19 Vaccination Verification (CVV) by Synergy Gateway. Religious/creed exemptions will continue to go through the college directly. Once you complete the CVV process on the Verified platform, you will get a COVID-19 Vaccine Compliance Card that you can display on your mobile device or print out to show at campus entry points. Log into STU-VIEW with your George Brown College username and password. In STU-VIEW, go to the “Additional Student Services” tab and locate “COVID-19 Vaccination Verification”. After you have been re-directed, please set-up your account. You must use your George Brown College email and the name the college has on file for you.

International Students currently Outside of Canada

If you are not already in Canada now, and you need to travel to Canada for a hybrid or in-person program because it requires you to attend class/labs on-campus in Toronto, you will need to follow the steps below.

In preparation for your arrival to Canada, George Brown College requires international students who are traveling from outside Canada to download the iCent app to complete your quarantine plan form and attestation to comply with the Quarantine Act in Canada.

For more information on how to prepare for possible quarantine, COVID-19 testing requirements, accommodation options, and downloading the iCent app, please review the International Students Travelling to Canada webpage.

Some important reminders from the International Students Travelling to Canada webpage:

As per current IRCC regulations, students whose studies were in progress since March 2020 or who started their studies between March 2020 and Spring 2022 and have submitted their Study Permit application prior to their program start date, can count studies completed outside of Canada towards Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility until August 31, 2022. If this flexible temporary policy is not further extended, the duration studied abroad (outside Canada) beyond August 31, 2022 will not count towards the length of the PGWP.

Students in programs where the Winter 2022 term delivery is fully online, should check the PGWP eligibility criteria (please read under ‘Distance Learning’ as well) and make possible plans to travel to Canada to attend your online courses for Winter 2022 term.
