At George Brown College your health and safety is our #1 priority.
Most George Brown College programs will be delivered online for the Fall 2021 Semester.

However, in some select programs where students need to complete hands-on clinical or lab work, we’re offering a hybrid model. This means that most of the program will be delivered online with limited parts of the course delivered in-person, on-campus.

To find out if your program will be delivered fully online or as a hybrid (online + in-person) for the Fall 2021 Semester, please check the Program Delivery https://georgebrown.ca/programs/fall-2021-delivery for details on the delivery format for your program.

Note that in accordance with public health authorities’ guidelines this information is subject to change as conditions evolve.

During the registration process you will be able to view the delivery format for the individual courses within your program.

In preparation for your online learning, please note:

• Your program will be a combination of real-time (synchronous) and pre-recorded (asynchronous) delivery.
• You will use a combination of online tools, such as Blackboard, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Your professors and/or program coordinator will provide details closer to the first day of class.
• To support your success as an online learner, we recommend you visit our Online Learning microsite.
• We also encourage you to take advantage of the many online student support services, including virtual tutoring, video counselling, online career advising, and Accessible Learning Services.
• Although our campuses are currently closed, our employees are online and ready to help.

If your program is listed as hybrid, and includes in-person, on-campus learning, please note:

• You must stay home if you are sick, or if you have symptoms, including fever, cough and difficulty breathing, and report their symptoms to their supervisor or instructor.
• Mandatory COVID-19 awareness training must be completed before entering any George Brown buildings.
• Mandatory online health screening must be completed each day you come to campus and before entering any George Brown buildings.
• Masks are mandatory on campus.

International Students Outside Canada
If you are not already in Canada, and you need to travel to Canada for a hybrid program since it requires you to attend class/labs in-person, on-campus in Toronto, you will need to follow steps below.

In preparation for your arrival to Canada, George Brown College mandates international students who are travelling from outside Canada to download the iCent app to complete your quarantine plan form and attestation to comply with the Quarantine Act in Canada.
